Alberto Labbé is a lawyer and founding partner of Labbé Abogados, a law professor, arbitration judge, company director, and representative of foreign companies. He specializes mainly in asset protection, corporate disputes, and insurance. He has extensive experience in asset protection, wealth management, litigation, arbitration, insurance and reinsurance law, insolvency and re-entrepreneurship, and in solving social, family, and family office conflicts.
For approximately 40 years, he has been a professor of Commercial Law at the UC School of Law, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He regularly gives talks at various seminars of diverse nature, especially on matters of shareholder liability, business, insurance, applications of special savings life insurance, financing of inheritance tax, and resolution of conflicts or interests between partners or with principal executives.
He was awarded the "Abdón Cifuentes" medal from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile for his career as a UC Law professor for more than 35 years. In addition, he has been recognized as "Best Lawyer" in Chile in the areas of "Arbitration and Mediation," "Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Law," and "Insolvency and Reorganization Law" by Best Lawyers 2020, and in "Liquidation and Reorganization" in Best Lawyers 2016.
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association, the Ethics Tribunal of the Chilean Bar Association, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Santiago, and an arbitrator for the Ministry of Public Works (MOP).

- 2000 – 2005, founding member and former president of the Ibero-Latin American Center for Mediation and Arbitration of Insurance and Reinsurance AIDA-Arias LATAM.
